About Foothills Brewpub
Winston-Salem's first brewery! Award-winning craft beer, pub food, full bar, private event spaces, and in-house catering!
Located at 638 W 4th St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, Foothills Brewpub operates as a restaurant serving Winston-Salem in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as caterer, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (336) 777-3348. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is foothillsbrewing.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 1,186 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in Winston-Salem and suggests consistent service.

This was our first time. It definitely wonβt be our last. It was a great experience. We came during one of the summer concerts and the service was great. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was entertaining.

We really enjoyed eating dinner here. We had the pretzel as an appetizer and it was plenty for two people. We had to ask for another container of cheese, since we loved to have each bite covered! We split a full order of fish and chips and there was plenty for both of us. The bartender was able to make a mai-tai for me which was excellent. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars was because the fries were kind of greasyβ¦probably because the oil was not quite hot enough. All else was great! Now letβs talk about Meredith who was our waitress. If I could give her 10 stars, I would absolutely do so. She was totally amazing and fun to talk to, but also very attentive and efficient! I am not from the area, but if I was and ate here again (which I totally would), I would ask for Meredith to take care of us. Thanks for a great dinner and enjoyable time.

Located in the heart of downtown with indoor and outdoor seating itβs a large beautiful bar and restaurant. They have live music on certain nights and play music in the background on other days. The atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back. Staff is friendly and on point with their service. We got 3 different plates. My wife got the breakfast burrito, thank God she asked for the Chile de Γrbol sauce on the side because it was spicy! I loved the spice as it did not linger. She got it with a side of perfectly fried sweet potato fries. My daughter got the Fish and Chips with a side of fries. The fish was golden fried on outside and soft and flaky on inside. It was huge and hung of the plate. I kept picking at it and stealing some bites. I got the Elote pasta. I must admit that at 1st bite I did not like it, seemed bland. After a little S&P love and mixing it up, it all came together. Not sure why itβs called Elote(corn) pasta, as there was no corn on it, unless the sauce is made with corn. Anyway, the sauce was perfect and the scallions, tomatoes & fresh grated Parmesan was what put it all together. It was definitely the favorite dish as my wife and daughter kept stealing from meβ¦β¦.o

Service was spot on. Got the shrimp & Grits and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fan of their beer already but if your a first timer, cant go wrong with one of their stouts.

What a nice find on our visit! Food was great tasting and plenty of it. We had the chicken tenders and the Southern snack plate. The blackeye pea hummus was fantastic! Imperial Chocolate Stout hit the spot.
